March 29 I blew the whistle ..not loudly but subtly 2I had a separate session with boss when he received my "whistling" email. We had a chat and I've informed him discretely on my concern. I can't blatantly tell him my suspicion on that fella. Anyway, I've proposed my suggestion on closing the open loops. I was given a task to review the current procedure and tighten the control of buying.
Now, I've to audit the buying process periodically and to intervene in pricing negotiation. Well, that means I've more things to do! I need a pay raise!! March 24 Unattended Bag in the MRTI'm in my last semester for my final year! Hooray! I'm about to see some light at the end of the tunnel. hehee. Some of my classmates rant about having no life after they took up the course. What a life.
My day started out rather interesting. I was bored and sleepy having to wake up early for class this morning. I boarded the MRT. I noticed that there was a handbag mysteriously lying on the aisle between 2 opposing sides of the train seats. One boy sitting next to it busying with his gameboy. The lady who came later noticed the bag and *ish* *ish* shy away. She kept eyeing on the bag suspiciously. I quietly laughed at her reaction. When I'm about to alight, I asked the boy if the bag belongs to him. He said NO. Then I take the bag out and pass it to the Station Master on my way out from the control station.
There was advertisment about getting the public cooperation to identify any unattended suspicious package (terrorist attack, bomb hidden in the package) in the public transport. Whoever discover such package should report to the personnel in-charge immediately.
I told this to my family later in the evening and I was scolded by my sis on my no-cow sense action. My act had certainly put everyone in danger this morning. Instead trying to be heroine, I should have just leave it to the staff. Hiya, I have taken the matters too lightly.
What was on my mind? Firstly, I must have thought the bag owner must be worried to death and search frantically for her missing bag. The bag may contain purse and other important docs. If the bag being ignored, somebody would have take it. To prevent this, I can pass it to the Station Master to deal with it.
Oh dear .. I'm nearly landed myself into trouble. I don't want to be the first female "suicide bomber" in Singapore! March 22 I blew the whistle ..not loudly but subtlyI did it. I was feeling so disturbed for the past few days. I know I should just mind my own business but .. if I continue to keep quiet about it, I'm seriously compromising my principles. I wrote an email to boss just now. I didn't outrightly typing 'gossipy report' to him but rather, informing him on the concern I have on the current practices we have in the company. Hopefully, some control to be implemented soon.
Hey Pint, great thanks for the time listening to my rants. Really appreciate it when you tried to put me back to perspective and vet thru my email. Thanks pal. You're great!
I do not know if any action will be taken to this guy, but at least I've done my part. I'll leave the rest to the boss to decide. Let's see wht boss got to say to me tomorrow. errmm .. March 19 The Phantom of the OperaI'm kinda obssessed with this lately. I watched the show but not the play and find it awesome, simply awesome
If you curse the Opera music, I'm sorry. This is not for you. March 18 Should I blow the whistle?I had a rather interesting, over-whelmed and outrageous work week! I suspected one of my colleague cheating the company. I had secretly conducted some personal investigations. From bits and pieces of info I gathered so far, slowly .. it formed a big picture. This guy definitely has something hiding in his sleeves. I don't have concrete proof as yet but, I've enough to show of his doubting integrity and honesty. I shall not write in detail here but, oh boy .. this is real. Should I blow the whistle? March 15 Oprah talks about men ..Hiya .. seems like I received alot of forward emails talking about relationships and stuff. Anyway, I found this interesting and yea, I agree with Oprah. A man had been stringing me along for years and I'm glad I'm over and done with now.
If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you, as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends".
A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend? Don't settle.
If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
Don't stay because you think "it will get better."
You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?
Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up.
Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are... even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god.
He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are.
Never borrow someone else's man.
If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
All men are NOT dogs.
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is two Way street.
You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.
Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always knows where you are, And you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted.
Never move into his mother's house.
Never co-sign for a man.
Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
Share this with other women... You'll make someone smile, another Rethink her choices, and another woman prepare. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and entire lifetime to forget them! March 11 A Meme : Why I Blog?I've been tagged by Dr B (http://www.bernardchan.net) on this Meme thingie topic about "Why I Blog". I had been putting it off as I was busying clearing mountains of work stuff after dissappearing for days from office.
Okay, let's get started. Why I Blog? It has to go back to my school days. My dad encouraged us to keep a diary/journal. The purpose was to improve our writing skills and proficiency in English. It went for several years but stopped after I started to work. Only in recent years, I was invited by an old friend, Yenjai to participate in his blog. (Bro yen, thanks for the influence :)) Had been loitering in the blogsphere for sometime, until it sparks my interest in creating a place that can called my own. Why MSN Space? Because I'm using MSN Live Messenger. Very convenient for me even though it is not entirely user friendly. Ok, to cut the story short, here you are on - Why I Blog ..
A De-stress Pill
Life is stressful and blogging is a form of de-stress for me. I can shi#*! and stink here... hahaha .. my beloved virtual "house". Yea, this is my chill out corner after a harsh day at work and life.
A Hobby
Just love to see something come out from the mind. I'm no musician or painter, therefore one way of expressing myself is thru words. And writing is my hobby.
English English English
It had been always this. My dad had been encouraging us to be multi-linguals. Sadly to say, I've a very low IQ and thus not smart. I'm still awfully poor in grammar and vocab. But I manage to scrap thru after all these years. Guess I have to continue to write more and keep on improving :)
Sharing
Sharing is an important value in life. People learn from each other thru sharing of information, knowledge and experience. The world is big and the Internet magically shrinks the world. I would love to share what I know and experience to whoever visiting this blog. If we don't share, what's left for life?
Friendship
It links with the above. It would be interesting to get to know people from all walks of life and sharing experiences. Of cos, I'm not expecting everyone to agree with me but so far, I noticed I do have a handful of frequent visitors. Great to know you all! |
