December 29 Fine cool breezy December dayThe weather is unbelievably nice today. Cool, breezy and dry. I wish it stays the same for the next 367 days. Office is 3 quarter empty, leaving me and few souls counting the hours away till the clock hitting 6pm.
I'm in holiday mood but plenty to do in office. I got myself busy for getting new system in place for the coming new year. I was working on improving the current office admin system. It has been my interest trying to create something that is life changing! Aha.. yea yea, its about work efficiency and effectiveness. Hopefully, it goes well.
I went for some retail therapy after work. The town jam-packed with people. I wonder what Singaporeans would be doing besides patronizing shopping malls. I'm not the type of person who can spent her days in the shopping mall. In fact, I see shopping more a chore than a hobby. Anyway, as the new year is approaching, I need to over haul my closet. Perhaps, it would be a good time to terrorize the wardrobe this weekend. Darn.. I didn't know that I've so much un-godly grandma trousers!!! hehehee Time to invest more on skirts  December 27 Rain rain ..go awayWow wow .. you may probably wonder what I am up to after dissappearing for few weeks. Yea, nothing juicy except being busy with life. Not to worry, I don't hibernate in the month of Dec. :)
While other parts of the world experiencing snow storm, we're having our 'rain' storm here in South East Asia. The weather is so wet. Our neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia experiencing severe flooding in the rural villages and city. Lives lost and many were displaced from their home. My deepest sympathy for these ppl. Hope, the sun will shine real soon.
I just got to know today there was an earth quake rated at 7.1 Richter scale in Taiwan. The earthquake damaged the submarine data cable lines connecting Asia with the rest of world. Refer to news : http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific/view/249375/1/.html for more info.
I didn't know at first until I called the Internet provider today checking what happen to the internet line. Can't check my email for whole day in office. Am infact prepared to complain for lost of productivity. haha .. terrible me. After living here for a decade, I behaved ol so typically Singaporeans! :-P
Even though it rains so much, the sky looks loomy-gloomy and depressing weather, I kinda enjoy the cool temperature and "peacefulness". Today while I was on my way home in the bus, I suddenly think of my primary school days. Playing in the rain and chasing the school bus in the rain! Used to travel 25km from home to school and .. I always in the afternoon session! The good is I can sleep as late as I can, bad is school ends at 6.15pm!!!! .. the ugly is, rainy season .. duh .. I ended with "fabulously" messy hair !!!!!!! December 07 Hugh JackmanLike any other ordinary woman, I have my fair share in idolizing some handsome actors. He is no other than Mr Hugh Jackman. I've watched quite a no. of his movies but no, not X-Men, pls.
 yea yea yea .. I'm more attracted to those lovey-dovey movies of his. The one particular movie that left deepest impression on me was Kate & Leopold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_%26_Leopold). I was in the tube, long hour flight and bored. I made do with the tiny little screen infront of my seat and this show kept me sane. Hey, he is tall, dark, handsome and a gentlemen. He knows how to sing and play music. Very irresistable, yum yum. hehehee .. No chance, he's married! He has a wife older than 8 years and has 2 adopted kids. :)Nevertheless, he has been my all time favorites beside my dad and Mr Ghandi. I admit, I fantasize him as white/dark knight with shiny armour sweeping the damsel in distress! hahaha! you see, fairy tales are crap tales. It made all girls daydream with the impossible? unrealistic eh .. Sad enough, I grew up with these crap tales .. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty & the Beast, Rapunzel, Swan Lake bla blaaa .. you name it, I read or watched it. Argghh ... in another word, I've been poisoned sub-consciously and chronically. No antidote or whatsover!  yikes!!December 06 My tiny bonusGuess what, I received a tiny bonus from one of the companies I'm currently helping! A pleasant surprise for me. That's mean, I've extra $$ to finance more loads of facial masks and vitamin pills! hahaha ..How vain!!
 Nevertheless, I'm glad to know that my efforts has made significant difference to the company's peformance. It always feel good to watch something growing from small to big. e.g. revenues The year is ending. Another fruitful year. I'm excited to find out what's next. Studies has taken so much of my time. Life always in a pressure cooker mode. Always busy, always rushing. I guess, I need to reward myself abit. No branded handbags or jewelleries! I would prefer to just pack my bag and jet off to some exotic places! Yea, I always wanted to travel. My wishlist will be visiting Tibet, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and many more. I've yet to materialize those plan but I will. :)
My mom asked me, have you ever consider to settle down? Errmm ... I told her, only when I met the ONE!  Ahhh .. maybe I should add an extra line in the bottom of my coming new year resolution .. to launch a quest to find the ONE! Guess, tht will make her happy! cheerioooo!  December 03 I'm Exhausted!I had insane life for the past weeks. Finally, I can take a breather for now. Events went smoothly, although not purffeect - purffect ... Spotted few gaps here and there which I trust I can do better if I've more time. Event size was about 50 odds of total participants. Majority of them flew in from different parts of the world. Interesting as it might seems, but no thanks for another one unless I've more helper. At the end of the event day, I was dangerously over-exhausted and felt like wanted to collapse and never wake up. Serious, don't laugh. It's true. Besides the stress and stuff, I had night classess till 10pm every night. Gosh.. never felt so tired in my life.
Anyway, I need my sleep now. Ciao ciao! :)
P/s : I realised that, be a host is not easy. Very tiring job! :) |
